How Old Must I Be? Cubs can start when they are 7 years old  and go up to 11. From there they go over  to Scouts. Scouts must leave on their 18th birthday.  They can stay in Scouts even if they have  left school, as long as they are under 18.  Over 18 they can join Rovers (which we  don’t offer at this stage) or become a  uniformed adult.
What Does it Cost?  There is a joining fee which covers the initial  term fees plus a scarf, cap, badges and  national registration fee. Fees are then  taken at the start of every school term, and  there is a reduced fee if you have more than  one child in the group.

How Do I Join?  Phone or email us (see the contacts page) or come along to one of our evening meetings where you will see first-hand what Cubs and Scouts get up to and you will also get a chance to meet the uniformed adults. If you decide to join you will have to fill in a 1st Blaauwberg application form together with a National Scouting application form and give them to the person in charge. You will then be invoiced for the joining fee. A few weeks after joining we will induct you in a ceremony and welcome you to the Pack (Cubs) or Troop (Scouts).
